Taste of the Harvest
A Wild Souls Ranch Annual Fundraising Event
Taste of the Harvest was founded in July 2014 by Wild Souls Ranch Founder/ Executive Director, Savanah McCarty and Wild Souls Ranch Events Coordinator, Mariah Lewis. These two young, nonprofit grass roots leaders were brainstorming fun and successful annual fundraising events that would enable them to keep their local children's organization open to the youth of Humboldt County for years and years to come. Best friends and avid partakers in hard cider, they were enjoying their favorite bottle around Savanah's kitchen table when Taste of the Harvest was born. They built this event to join with the city of Fortuna's famous Apple Harvest Weekend, a weekend celebrating everything apples in Humboldt County. The first Taste of the Harvest Hard Cider Festival was October 2014, and has grown tremendously since that time, gaining more local support every year.
So when you attend Taste of the Harvest, enjoy your crisp, refreshing cider knowing that all proceeds of this event go to funding Wild Souls Ranch, an Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Center for Humboldt County's "at-risk" youth. Cheers!
Thank you to our cider companies and distributors that make this annual fundraising event a success!
